Karkidaka Kanji/oushadha Kanji
Karkidaka Kanji/ oushadha Kanji is a medicinal rice soup is a traditional item of Kerala during the rainy days.
Karkidaka Kanji is made up of different Ayurvedic herbs which increases the immune in the body and help to resist all the ill effects of monsoon.
This kit is meant for 7 days
- • Njavara rice: 400g
- • Ashali/Uluva: 40g
- • PodimarunnuChoornam: 30g
- • PachamarunnuChoornam: 30g
Divide the contents to 7 parts each, take 1 part each day for preparation.
Pachamarunuchoornam boil in 1 lit of water for 5 to 10 minutes and filter it
Cook 50gm Njavara rice in this decotion ,add Fenugreek, Aashali and cook well
Add Podimarunuchoornam to that along with ½ glass coconut milk/ cow milk, stire well and take out of the stove.
Onion fried in ghee can be added for taste, It is best to consume this porridge for dinner
